Substitute Teacher (casual/on-call/hourly)

New Heights School and Learning Services is a not-for-profit K-12 School for families with children, youth, and young adults with a diagnosis on the Autism Spectrum, or with similar learning challenges. We are a play-based program that utilizes the strengths and interests of each student to address social-emotional and academic goals.

Vision: A community dedicated to pioneering a bright future for individuals on the autism spectrum to live independent, confident, and purposeful lives.

Mission: Preparing our kids for the community, and the community for our kids.

New Heights School is currently seeking substitute Teachers (hourly/on-call) to complete our substitute roster for the 2022-2023 school year.

Qualifications:

  • An active Alberta Teaching Certificate
  • Experience working with children and youth on the Autism spectrum and/or with social emotional challenges
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to be self-directed, flexible, highly motivated and to work effectively in a team environment
  • Availability during school hours on school days
