From our friends at The Autism Aspergers Friendship Society:

GameOn Golf Program with AAFS

We are super excited to have this program up and running at AAFS.

This innovative program started in 2013 through PGA Legend Ernie Els and The Els Foundation.

Over EIGHT sessions AAFS will use GameOn Golf to provide members an opportunity to have fun, learn golf skills and build self-esteem and confidence in a fun, welcoming and supportive environment.

Participants will learn skills through games and activities while practicing golf specific skills each class. During the program everything from grip to back swing to putting will be introduced in ways members can enjoy.

GameOn is designed for all ages and sizes and there is no need for equipment! We will be using the SNAG Golf system to teach, learn and play. No need to buy golf shoes either as running shoes will do just fine.

No previous skills or experience is necessary and if you have played before this would be a way to strengthen your game in a unique and fun environment.

We have partnered up with Clear Water Academy (2521 Dieppe Ave SW, Calgary, AB T3E 7J9) and will be running the program out of their facilities. We have secured both indoor and outdoor space so weather will not be a factor. Please remember to bring a jacket as it can get windy and a water bottle is a good idea as well.
