Thinking About Post Secondary Transitions

This Spring and Summer, Emma Spence took on a project with us for her Queen’s University QUARMS program.  For New Heights, Emma visited, researched and interviewed seven post secondary institutions in Calgary with the purpose of finding the academic and social supports available for attending students.  In addition to detailing possible academic accommodations and support, the project includes the links to floor plans of each institution to locate rooms, average class sizes, counselling options, and social clubs on campus,

Her final project, titled “Tackling the Transition: Accessibility Services at Post Secondary Schools in the Calgary Area” is available by sign out to New Heights staff, parents, and students and is located in the main office.

Thank you Emma!
