Family Oriented Programming (FOP) for Preschool and Kindergarten families

As part of our Preschool/Kindergarten program, you are invited and encouraged to attend Family Oriented Programming (FOP) sessions throughout the year.  These sessions take place once a month (10 sessions a year) here at the school for families in our Preschool/Kindergarten Program.

FOP days are designed to engage the child’s parent(s) in the process that helps them to implement the goals and objectives of the Individual Program Plan within the home and community environment.  Sessions are implemented under the direction of teachers, with the help of the therapists and other members of the team who are involved with your child at school.

FOP days at New Heights run from 10:00-11:30am and/or 1:00-2:30pm.  Preschool students may attend a modified classroom program during the FOP times if their parents are attending the session. Regular transportation through Dreams does not occur on FOP days.

In order to allow for appropriate preparation, it would be appreciated if parents notify the classroom if they plan to attend an FOP session.

For more information, please contact the preschool staff through [email protected].
