3D Printer

One of our favorite new things this year is the school’s 3D printer.  Staff have been learning the machine and dreaming up all of the ways to use it with the classes this year!  The Cascade Mountain junior high class used it for their first major art projects of the year which had students focusing on North American art. The creation of a totem pole that represented their chosen ‘spirit’ animals was built in a program called Tinkercad and printed in 3D or created from modelling clay. This is the first project using our new 3D printers and they have been a success! Cascade students have since been using Tinkercad to make other creations and testing out the printer.
