New Heights PAC Minutes November 2011

The New Heights Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is an elected group of parents that promote the well being and overall effectiveness of the school community. PAC organizes fundraising opportunities to provide financial resources and support for the school. PAC has raised funds to help enhance school programs, buy educational and therapy supplies, and provide ongoing educational opportunities for our staff. As well, PAC hosts family events through out the year, such as the Annual Welcome Barbeque that kicks off the start of each school year.

Our Events

PAC plans and hosts a number of annual fundraising events for New Heights including: The Annual Silent Auction and Bake Sale, the PAC Casino (every 18 months), the Mother’s Day Spa Event, and the Golf Tournament.

Ways to Participate

PAC meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month of the school year at 7:00 p.m. at the school.
Volunteer opportunities occur throughout the year, with many different options. Some of these include: Recycling, Casino, Silent Auction (gathering donations, set up, take down, thank you letters), Repairs/handyman, Classroom prep work, Golf Tournament (gather sponsors, shifts before/during/after tournament), Mother’s Day Spa Event (set up, take down), etc.
