Administrative Assistant

Candidates must possess excellent organizational skills and be able to handle a busy environment. Responsibilities may include some or all of the following; data entry, reception, and various other administrative duties. New Heights is looking for a person who is friendly, mature, details oriented and is able to multi-task.

Speech and Language Pathologist (Full Time)

New Heights Early Learning Services runs a unique specialized program tailored to preschool children with autism. Therapists work as members of a multidisciplinary team, enjoying a mix of classroom-center based work and individual therapy sessions within our home based program. We are currently looking for a Full Time Speech and Language Pathologist to join our dynamic team of dedicated professionals.
Qualifications:
• Canadian Association of Speech – Language Pathologists and Audiologists Certification and Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
• Experience with Fluency disorders, Language disorders and Articulation disorders
• Experience with alternate or augmentative communication systems
• Experience working with children who have special needs ranging from mild to severe in degree

Specific Skills:
- Consult with other team members to help create home and school program plans, Administer and score language impairment diagnostic tests, Plan and implement remedial programs, Report writing

Essential Skills:
- Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Computer use, Continuous learning

The SLP will be responsible for assessing each child, planning and writing IPPs, providing individual and group therapy, teaching others to facilitate development through implementation of specific strategies, monitor and document progress.

Occupational Therapist (Full Time and Part Time)

New Heights ELS is a Designated Special Education ECS and school age program dedicated to helping children with autism reach new heights in learning.

We currently require one full – time Occupational Therapist to join our team of caring, competent and creative professionals in assessing and treating pre-school children with autism. The ideal candidate will:

• be a flexible team member with strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• hold a Bachelor of Science Degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
• be an active member of A.C.O.T
• have a minimum of 1 year experience through employment and or clinical education / fieldwork with pre-school children with autism, particularly in the area of sensory-motor development
• knowledge of TEACCH principles is an asset

The current position starts immediately. Salary is negotiable, based on HSAA pay scales and the training and experience of the successful candidate.

We are currently hiring full and part-time support workers to work in our Home Program. Must have vehicle and valid driver's license. Contact:
